Scottish Soccer Legend Tells His Story in New Book and in Person

Amazon Former Leeds United star and longtime Scottish international William Bell will be sharing his unique story in person at a book-signing event at the Liberty University Bookstore on the campus of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., this Saturday, Oct. 25th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

"The Light at the End of the Tunnel," co-authored by Conway Data Executive Vice President Ron Starner, tells the story of Bell, who rose from humble origins in a small Scottish village to become one of the all-time great soccer players in the history of Leeds United in the English Football League of the 1960s and 1970s. The dominant leader of the defense of the "Revie Machine," Bell fashioned a hard-nosed style on the field that would serve him well later in life as a coach, mentor and servant to imprisoned young offenders in England and Scotland.

Both Bell and Starner will be on hand at the LU Bookstore for the signing, which begins immediately following the conclusion of the soccer match between Liberty University and UNC-Asheville on the LU campus in Lynchburg.

The book is also available on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. For more information, the full press release about the book can be found here.
