entucky’s ideal location, skilled workforce and business-friendly environment make the commonwealth a great place for manufacturing companies to make and ship products to every corner of the globe. Since 2020, manufacturers have announced 633 projects with a reported capital investment of more than $24.6 billion investment and nearly 32,600 new jobs in Kentucky. Foreign Direct Investment accounts for over half announced investment and new jobs.

Kentucky ranks among the leading manufacturing states with 12.2% of its workforce in manufacturing, versus 8.1% nationally. A recent nationwide state-by-state comparison by Ball State University gives Kentucky an “A” ranking for both manufacturing and logistics industry strength.

A St. Louis native who grew up in the Kansas City suburbs, Adam is a 1986 alumnus of Knox College, and resided in Chicago; Midcoast Maine; Savannah, Georgia; and Lexington, Kentucky, before settling in the Greater Atlanta community of Peachtree Corners, where he lives with his wife and daughter.
