AGCO expansion advances company's sustainability plans

Saxony-Anhalt The AGCO Hohenmölsen GmbH Company is expanding its production location in the German federal state of Saxony-Anhalt. The company, part of the US-based AGCO Corp., specializes in the development, production and marketing of components and assemblies for agricultural machines and vehicles. It is investing 15 million euro (US$21 million) in the expansion of a facility used for the manufacture of heavy tractor components. The project will add 65 new jobs to the 75 already in place.

"With this investment, we intend to further advance our plan to achieve sustainable business operations," explains Dr. Sven Gempper, Managing Director of AGCO Hohenmölsen GmbH. "Construction of the new production plant with state-of-the-art machines and systems will take into account the integration of existing buildings. The technical building services will be driven using recycled process heat on an environmentally compatible basis."

Investors in Saxony-Anhalt benefit from its location in the center of Europe and its state-of-the-art infrastructure. Location advantages include a highly skilled and motivated workforce, excellent investment incentives and a very competitive cost structure. Saxony-Anhalt is home to an outstanding research landscape and a culture of innovation.
