  As new electric vehicles (EVs) make their debut this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, it's only fitting that California-based Faraday Future, backed by Chinese cash, last month announced a $1-billion, 4,500-job EV factory in that very region— part of a wave of electricity-tied megaprojects in Nevada from the likes of Tesla, Apple and Switch.
