As I look back over 2009, many thoughts come to mind:
What do we do in times like these? Reach out to others for assistance. This comes in many forms — contacting a colleague for a referral or to brainstorm on solving a problem, or helping to find employment opportunities. This is also a time to help those less fortunate, whether that be through volunteering your time, donations or doing whatever it takes to show you care.
These and many other topics concern the members of IAMC — how does this organization assist with and, better yet, differ from other organizations? One of IAMC's greatest values is in its relationships. These relationships are built over time and are not only professional but personal — you can reach out and get help/assistance with almost anything you can imagine. There is no other organization that does so much to make certain that our members feel a sense of camaraderie and friendship — we know we can count on each other.

Deals will continue to be made and lost; projects will be developed, put on hold or terminated; healthcare reform will take years; but the relationships made through the IAMC connection will continue for a lifetime.

I wish you and yours health, happiness and a prosperous New Year!James Winter
