    The seven victims are:

Garten
James Gartenberg, a 36-year-old associate director with Julien J. Studley, was among those killed in Sept. 11's attacks on the WTC.
Portillo
Listed among those killed in the WTC attacks is Anthony Portillo, a 48-year-old employee of Washington Group International.

(Editor's note: According to New York officials, names listed as "confirmed dead" are individuals whose death has been confirmed by a coroner's office; the list of "confirmed dead," officials added also includes individuals a court has declared legally dead, even if no body has been recovered. Individuals listed as "reported dead" are those people whose deaths have been reported by family, employers, mortuaries, churches or airlines, according to city officials. Those listed as "confirmed dead," they added, also include individuals for whom memorial services have been held, even if their bodies have not been recovered or positively identified.)

        The seven victims from the real estate industry are among the 599 people now listed by New York City officials as killed in Sept. 11's attacks. That total of 599 includes 442 who were killed inside the WTC area and 157 who were onboard the two hijacked airliners.

11 in Industry Still Listed as Missing

As of this writing, another 11 members of the real estate industry
are still listed among the missing at the WTC site:
  • Alan Bondarenko, 53, Washington Group International;
  • Frank De Martini, 49, architect, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey;
  • Ulf R. Ericson, 79, Washington Group International;

        Those 11 members of the industry are part of the 4,776 people still listed as missing at the site of the New York attacks.
        As reported earlier here, no members of the real estate industry are reported among the dead or missing in Sept. 11's attack on the Pentagon. Neither are any members of the industry reported among those dead from the Sept. 11 crash of a hijacked plane in Pennsylvania.

Union Members Missing

The WTC's list of dead or missing also includes 67 members of some of the unions that support the real estate industry. The trade groups that have released totals for dead or missing members include:
  • International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers: Twenty members - 16 from Local 3 and four from Local 1212 - reported as dead or missing.
  • New York City District Council of Carpenters: Fifteen members reported as dead or missing.
  • Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union: Four members reported as dead.
  • Service Employees International Union: Twenty-four union members, including maintenance workers, cleaners, elevator operators and porters, reported as dead or missing.
  • Union of Operating Engineers Local 2: Eight members reported as dead or missing.

        Barring further news of substance, this will be the SiteNet Dispatch's final update on the real estate industry members who were working in the WTC area on Sept. 11.
        It is our fervent hope, of course, that some of the missing will still be found alive. In point of fact, however, officials are holding out no hope for that possibility.
