The U.S.-Cuba Business Conference, slated for Feb. 17-18 in Cancun, Mexico - with a fully hosted day-trip to Havana, Cuba, on Feb. 19 - continues to gain momentum with a post-holiday rush.
With 13 major sponsors already in place, the conference added two new sponsors in early 2003, as the Port of Galveston and the Texas Farm Bureau added their names and logos to the conference marquee.
In addition, Caterpillar America Services has agreed to be one of the principal exhibitors at conference, which will be held at the Westin Regina Resort in Cancun.
The U.S.-Cuba Business Conference is the best opportunity for American companies looking to foster business relationships with Cuba in the areas of food, agricultural, wood and medical products.
The initial list of conference speakers and dignitaries will be released later this week and is expected to include a number of members of the United States Congress as well as many high-ranking state government officials.
