Culture
1. Does the relocation management company you are considering have a similar values system and work style to those of your company and your implementation team?
2. Does the company have experience working with a client that may have a strong international cultural basis in business practices, procedures, values, etc.?
Expertise
1. Is relocation management the core business of the company you are considering, or is it a supplemental service to another core business?
2. Is the company independent and able to act on your behalf in its recommendations, analyses, and decision-making? Does it have other revenue streams that it can benefit from as a result of actions it takes on your project?
3. Does the company have the staff depth to offer additional experts and backup in the event something happens to the key staff on the your project, and to "right source" the work effort?
4. Is the person offered as the leader and staff for your project truly dedicated to the project or will that person be responsible for other duties within the organization?
Results
1. What benefit does the company provide?
2. Can the company identify how it adjusts to its key member on the client's team being unavailable?
3. Will the company be able to save you money?
Tools
1. Does the company employ a Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) program in its relocation management practice to help organize and communicate critical move-related and occupancy information to the team?
2. Does the company give back information, drawings, and reports to the client at the end of the project as well as share key information during project execution?
3. Can the company help you to migrate/implement a CAFM solution using the data collected, cleaned, standardized, and entered into the system during the move's planning phases?
4. Can the company provide, customize, implement, train, and support the CAFM tool should you decide to implement such a system? If you just want results without expending valuable staff time, can the Company maintain the CAFM system for you?
Capacity
1. What other projects does the company have active during the same time period of your project, and are the proposed team members active on those?
2. How will the company balance conflicts between duties if the proposed project staff has other duties?
3. If emergency assistance is needed on your project, how will the company respond?
4. How many of the company's staff are full-time employees of the company and how many are contractors or part-time staff?
