AIDT provides comprehensive workforce recruiting and training for employers who commit to create jobs in Alabama. Each AIDT service program is based on the client's specific needs to ensure a successful operation in Alabama.
      Since 1971, AIDT has assisted approximately 3,500 new and expanding companies in the recruiting, selection and training of more than 200,000 employees. These companies have used almost every kind of production process to make a wide variety of products. AIDT's close working relationships with these companies has resulted in development of consistently effective processes for the recruitment, selection and training of skilled and motivated employees.
      AIDT typically produces a workforce that performs high on the learning curve -- a result of both the technical training AIDT trainees receive and the process by which they are selected. Attitude is a key indicator in trainee selection. Rigorous screening and interviewing -- with input from company representatives -- allows AIDT to identify the most highly qualified and experienced employee candidates. Applicants must meet all standards a company requires of its employees to be accepted for training.
      AIDT assistance services include:

• identification of needed work skills and knowledge, training criteria, curricula content definition and required behavior and performance criteria to match company expectations;
• recruitment of candidates for potential employment. AIDT interviews and enrolls in training only those acceptable to the company. Alabama's labor market consistently generates enough qualified applicants for each job opening to provide a high degree of selectivity. AIDT recommends for employment only those who successfully complete the training and exhibit job motivation.
• program development, instructors, equipment, consumable supplies, and training aids such as manuals, workbooks, videotapes, and films. AIDT services are provided at no cost to trainees or employers.

      AIDT provides a complete and effective pre-employment program for employers who are providing the required number of new jobs and will pay at or above the required starting hourly wage. For employers paying less than the required starting hourly wage or creating fewer than the required number of jobs, AIDT may sponsor on-the-job training.
