   You are in the driver's seat and can select the location, acres needed, size of building, accessibility to national markets and shipping options to meet the demands of your business and customers. Select the criteria specific to your project, and voila! – a list of applicable industrial sites appears.
   A quick click of the mouse accesses energy and labor costs, community profiles, community facts books, major rail and interstate options, and census population characteristics. Dig into the detail about literally every community in the state.
   While you are there, note that Nebraska's industrial electric rates are 42 percent less than the national average. In 2005, the state's industrial electric rates were one-third less than the national average; by 2006, this advantage had widened to 42 percent less. This is due, in part, to other regions generating more of their electricity with natural gas.    If you are looking for a building, NPPD offers color brochures that include photographs and floor plans of buildings, as well as information on building features and specifications, utilities, transportation, and other information. Brochures are printed for buildings of at least 5,000 square feet and suitable for manufacturing or information intensive industries. Buildings are qualified as "premium" when a price is stated and other criteria are satisfied.
