Conway Data Announces Hiring of David East

Former Business Development Director for Financial Times’ fDi Intelligence Joins Conway Team

October 2, 2014, Atlanta, GA and London, UK — Today Conway Data, Inc. (Conway) announced the hiring of David East as Senior Vice President of all Conway Data divisions and services. David joins Conway with 12 years of experience in foreign direct investment (FDI) and economic development. David has worked directly with investment promotion agencies from over 40 countries and jurisdictions. 

Formerly, David served as Business Development Director of Belfast-based OCO Consulting Ltd and later Business Development Director for fDi Intelligence, where he oversaw the development of two market-leading cross-border investment databases, growing revenues by over 600 percent in seven years. He also served as publisher of fDi Magazine (part of the Financial Times group).

David is regularly invited to participate at international FDI events as a moderator, panelist and FDI trainer. His main areas of expertise are in corporate globalization trends and comparisons of location competitiveness, and how governments and corporations use data to inform their FDI activities. Drawing on his experience, David also has a strong knowledge of how locations can market themselves.

In his new role as Senior Vice President of Conway Data, Inc., David will report directly to the company president, and be responsible for helping grow Conway Data globally, managing operations and staff, and developing new capabilities to service Conway clients. Currently based in Conway’s London office, David will be relocating to Conway’s headquarters in Atlanta.
