Tech Firm From Georgia South Carolina's technology sector continues to grow in early 2005. Hi-Tech Molding & Tooling, a specialist in plastic injection molding technology and toolmaking, announced in February it would move its headquarters and manufacturing operation to the Clemson Research Park in Pendleton. The company, which is relocating its entire operation from Lilburn, Ga., is investing $5.6 million and plans to create 100 jobs during 2005. Hi-Tech develops and manufactures specialized injection molding tooling to enable customers to convert metal components to plastic using the latest engineering grades of plastic resin. The company specializes in quick delivery, designing and building tools to specifications and delivering them within 45 days. ![]() |
