IDRC, the world’s leading professional association for corporate real estate executives, is going electronic with its membership services offerings. “Members on the Web” will include a number of new interactive features through IDRCNet, the group’s World Wide Web site in response to the growth of event registrations and other services on line.
“Visits on IDRCNet are up more than 50 percent in the past year,” says IDRC Marketing Committee chair Martin Horner of Staubach International. “In addition, there’s already a lot of awareness about and use of some parts of our Web site.” For example, PikeNet rates the IDRC Job Opportunities on-line service among the industry’s top 50 web sites.
Convenience and efficiency are two key reasons why IDRC members will be able get more from their memberships via Members on the Web. New electronic services include:
IDRC Chapter Resource Center with on-line registration for chapter events, speaker’s database, Chapter calendars and profiles, leadership contacts, a chat center and more.
Personalized home pages including member profiles that can be updated from any location via the Web using the member password
Electronic membership directory updated daily. Searchable by name, company and country, more than 6,000 affiliated members have been added to the list whose names do not appear in the official directory but are involved in IDRC
On-line registration for members to sign up for World Congresses, research forums, and symposia in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Member status features such as dues and World Congress balances, change of address, Associate membership performance standards, password lookup via e-mail, frequently asked questions and other services. Soon, a membership renewal feature will be added to the on-line membership application.
