IDRC and NACORE, the world’s two leading professional associations for corporate real estate executives, service providers and economic developers, are exploring possible integration. This unprecedented step would create one new association to represent the corporate asset management industry with a singular mission of creating value through the workplace.
Since plans to converge both groups were first announced in February 2000, an increasing amount of information has become available to IDRC and NACORE members through the transition team and Deloitte & Touche, the consultants facilitating the process.
The site serves as a channel for new information about the integration process, including how the new association is being designed, and offers an archive for previous information and background.

Phases of Integration Plan
Online information encompasses all phases of the integration plan including:
- A profile of the new IDRC-NACORE transition board;
- Results of a recent membership survey reflecting support for the plan (see examples in accompanying charts);
- The roadmap detailing the integration timeline;
- Detailed summary reports detailing the planning and design phases; and
- Frequently asked questions
Both groups’ boards are expected to review integration recommendations in September. Both groups’ members would then vote online in October. If the plan is approved, a combined association would become operational with the new year.
