TARGET & THE TIRE RACK OPEN THE
TRADEPORT BUSINESS CENTER
Tradeport is already home to a 242,000 sq. ft. expandable DC developed by The Tire Rack, a major distributor of high performance tires. Matt Edmonds, VP of The Tire Rack, is very enthusiastic about Liberty County's assets:
"This is our fifth distribution center built, and is focused on serving the deep southeast and Florida. We looked at several options, but as we considered the transportation availability and the employee pool near Midway, Liberty County really stood out as the best overall choice."
Target Corporation is currently constructing a 1,500,000 s.f. expandable DC in Tradeport, which will be coming on-line in the spring of 2007. This massive DC will employ 500 initially.
Mitch Stover, VP of Distribution for Target, was very pleased with the progressive partnership approach used by the Liberty County Development Authority and State of Georgia.
"Midway was the ideal location for us to locate a new distribution center. The partnership we received from the LCDA and the State of Georgia was extraordinary."
UNIQUE LABOR FROM FT. STEWART, GA
Approximately 200-300 trained, drug-free personnel with strong work ethics leave Ft. Stewart PER MONTH. 13,000 military spouses also reside only 20 minutes from the Tradeport Business Center.
