MSC helps companies from all over the world to look all over the world, although the majority of MSC projects are investments in North America. We provide site selection and incentive negotiation services to firms from all industries and for all types of activities, including industrial (manufacturing and distribution) and office (headquarters). MSC's history is one of working particularly large or complex projects, although we work projects of all sizes, from $10 million to $1 billion or more in capital investment.
Founded in 2000 by Ed McCallum and Mark Sweeney, MSC was founded on the principles of customer service and integrity, later solidified in the MSC Circle of Values. MSC brings a number of key strengths to our clients' decisions:
Customer Service: Our commitment to our clients is complete. MSC is independent and so not trying to sell addition downstream core services – site selection is our core service.
In addition, large complex projects will often require specialists from other areas. MSC's independence allows us to work effectively with whoever may be on the site team.
Process: MSC has a proven, phased process that identifies key project drivers (strategic and operational) and then provides a solid framework on which to move forward. This framework provides the strength necessary to keep the project focused on its key criteria and defend against "rogue" agendas, while providing the flexibility to adapt to changes in the project or findings in the field.
Technology: MSC has full Geographic Information Systems (GIS) capabilities in-house. This tool allows for analysis and evaluation of large amounts of relevant data for a more efficient and effective initiation of the project.
Field Experience: Despite technological advances, site selection decisions are not automated, and require extensive field evaluations of physical conditions, operating conditions, and living conditions of candidate locations. MSC consultants are in the field extensively, and so we bring that experience, plus a broad and strong network of public and private development officials across North America, to the benefit of our clients.
