A study from Louisiana State University’s E.J. Ourso College of Business found Super Bowl LIX generated $1.25 billion in total economic activity statewide, “more than doubling the impact of the 2013 New Orleans Super Bowl and ranking as the second most financially impactful Super Bowl of all-time,” said a release from Greater New Orleans Inc. and Louisiana Economic Development. The event’s impact included 9,787 jobs supported statewide and $658 million in spending by visitors and vendors, the study found.

Tuesday marked the 100th anniversary of the debut of the Goodyear Blimp. The company held an event at the historic Wingfoot Lake Airship Hangar.
