A
recognized industry leader in providing corporate real estate (CRE) information over the Internet, IDRC has unveiled its newly designed Web site.
“E-business is changing everything,” commented IDRC Marketing Committee Co-chair Dennis Boles, Haworth director of global facilities. “The new IDRC home page reflects how the association recognizes that change.”
A key element of the new format is more content geared toward the CRE industry, plus a mix of association business and news.
The redesigned site incorporates educational programs that help CRE executives position themselves as strategists within their corporations. The site also offers a direct channel to new management strategies, profiles best practices, reports on emerging real estate services, updates labor, investment and other information, and provides demographic research that drives location analyses and site selection.
The revamped Web site also reflects the redesign of the IDRC Communicator, the association’s monthly newsletter. While the newsletter will continue to be printed, pre-publication content will run in the IDRC Communicator Online, including a new focus on industry trends and practices designed to improve members’ job performance. In-depth versions of key stories and submissions will be available online.
IDRC was among the first associations of any kind to establish a Web presence. IDRCNet, which houses IDRC’s site, first went online in 1988. By 1995, IDRC had established its Web domain. IDRC’s site has since been rated among the industry’s best Web sites, including PikeNet’s coveted Top 50 ranking.
