Essel Propack Says Danville Can

ssel Propack recently chose Danville, Virginia for its first U.S. operation. Headquartered in India, Essel Propack Ltd. is the world's leader and largest laminated tube manufacturer with operations in 10 countries across the globe.
        Essel Propack announced a capital investment of $21 million and 81 jobs with an annual payroll of $2 million in Danville's fourth shell building located within Airside Industrial Park. "We discovered success in Danville!" says Manuel Diez, Essel Propack's Regional Director - Americas. "We selected Danville, Virginia for many reasons. The area offers ample industrial infrastructure, a skilled work force, a quality education system to train our employees, excellent transportation access, and significant cost benefits. In addition, we were impressed by the professionalism of the city and state representatives that worked on our project. Their responsiveness and hard work made the difference."
        The Danville, Virginia facility manufactures 100% of Procter & Gamble's demand for their Crest brand toothpaste tubes in North America and ships them to the Greensboro, N.C. plant. Ronald Bunch, Danville's Director of Economic Development, stated, "We're very excited about their presence here. The City of Danville is the only locality in Virginia that owns and operates all utilities; with some of the lowest rates in Virginia – this is a powerful resource for business. Danville offers a turnkey solution for projects, including water, gas, electric and the ability to fast track and meet construction and utility deadlines."
        The City promised to facilitate an accelerated fast-track schedule for construction and a couple of months later, Danville delivered ahead of schedule – exceeding expectations of our clients is the standard we live by.
