To help expedite its exports to South Asian countries, German company Viessmann has just completed the construction of its first heating appliance manufacturing factory in Tinh Dong Nai, Vietnam. The 24,000-sq.-ft. facility will create 100 jobs and will operate under the company’s sustainability protocols. Recent analysis from Tractus looked at ESG protocols among ASEAN nations.

Toll Group just opened a new healthcare, pharmaceutical and surgical equipment distribution center in Richlands, Queensland, Australia, the company’s fifth healthcare facility in Australia. The company also operates healthcare facilities in Singapore, China and India. Toll is investing A$400 million in Australia over the next four years. Toll invested A$10 million (about US$6.7 million) into the new facility to “support the delivery of patient-critical healthcare products to Queensland communities,” Toll stated in a media release. The 4,600-sq.-m (49,500-sq.-ft.) facility has received a 5 Green Star Rating for its environmentally sustainable work conditions. Montereau-sur-le-jard, Île-de-France, France

Logistics provider GXO and European Retail Fashion Company Zalando just announced their decision to partner up to operate a distribution facility in Montereau-sur-le-jard, in Île-de-France, France. With an investment of $358 million and joint assurance of ESG conditions, the 140,000-sq.-ft. facility will create 2,000 jobs. “Zalando is our largest project in France to date — in terms of scale, automation, technology and job creation — and we are excited to support Zalando’s growth,” said Rui Marques, GXO’s managing director of France, in a June 22 press release. “Our French customers will benefit from reduced delivery times and we are happy to have GXO as our trusted partner on our side to achieve that,” added Laura Toledano, general manager France at Zalando. Zalando’s 3,000-job project in Poland was an International Honorable Mention in Top Deals 2017 from Site Selection’s May 2017 issue.
